Form 04 & 05

Studying IGCSE at LPS is a unique experience. Students enjoy an atmosphere that offers a real sense of purpose with very high levels of individual guidance but without the formality of a large school. Small classes (average of 15-20) allow a partnership between students and teachers, where students feel supported to develop their knowledge and skills, to aim high and to achieve the best possible academic results. Students follow a two years course in IGCSE generally 6 to 9 subjects. The course is intensive, offering the opportunity to revise all the work covered in Form 4 and 5 together for March Exam series.

The Cambridge IGCSE curriculum offers a variety of routes for learners with a wide range of abilities, including those whose first language is not English. Our programs are structured around children’s specific needs. Starting from a foundation of core subjects, it is easy to add breadth and cross-curricular perspectives. We encourage students to engage with a variety of subjects, and make connections between them; which too is a fundamental approach in Cambridge IGSE curriculum and offered by our school.

Cambridge IGCSE also helps improve student performance by developing skills in creative thinking, enquiry and problem solving. Thereby, sets the perfect springboard to advanced study.

Cambridge IGCSE develops learner knowledge, understanding and skills in:

  • Subject content
  • Applying knowledge and understanding to new as well as familiar situations
  • Intellectual enquiry
  • Flexibility and responsiveness to change
  • Working and communicating in English
  • Influencing outcomes
  • Cultural awareness
